Only a man...

On this dreary, rainy, slightly cool day I woke up craving some chili. I have been wanting to cook it for a few weeks now but things come up and plans change and FINALLY, today seemed like the perfect day. I went into my cabinet and started getting all of my ingredients out and ready to cook for this evening when I realized, much to my disappointent, that I did not have a pack of chili seasoning! Let me back up for a minute and add a little something....you see I tend to make the same recipes quite often ( dinner rut) and Cam gets burned out. So, all week I have been telling him I was making this chili and he has conveniently come up with different plans every night and I have not been able to make it. I asked him last night to put some ground beef out to defrost for me and he forgot ( hmm). Luckily I realized this when I was up during Grady's morning feeding. So I came to the rescue and put some out just in time for it to be defrosted for dinner. This brings us back to the ingredients. You see, I could have swore I had that pack of chili seasoning in my posession. I could not find it ANYWHERE! So, I call Cam and ask him if he has created some kind of plot to sabatoge my dinner plans. He, of course, denies all of this and I ask him to stop at the grocery on his way home to get me the packet of seasoning. I cover all the bases ( you have to do that when send your husband to do a simple errand). "Do you know what I am talking about?"  "Do you know what the packet looks like?" To which he replies " Yes Ashley, I am not a moron." Okay then.
He gets home at about 5:30 and much to my surpirse...he has purchased none other than TACO seasoning. UGH!! Moral of the story: If you want something done right, ladies, you must do it yourself.
Anyways, we are now waiting for our taco soup to finish cooking ( thanks Ash Ivey) and we will enjoy a lovely evening eating and snuggling up on this blah Thursday evening! :)

Taco Soup. YUM!
Also, I am obsessed with this recent find :
And yes, I did add it to the soup. DELISH.
